glowbug for seniors and parents: computer help that points at the button

what you might ask, and what glowbug does

• how do i send this photo to my daughter?

points at the attach button in your messaging app, then at the photo, then at send. one step at a time.

• how do i open the file in this email?

draws a box around the attachment and tells you what to click to open it.

• how do i join the video call?

circles the join button, then points at the camera and microphone buttons so they can see and hear you.

• the writing is too small

walks you to the display setting and points at the one that makes everything bigger.

• where do i see what i spent on my bank's website?

points at the menu that leads to your transactions. it never types passwords or codes, and never presses send or pay.

• what is this pop-up asking me?

explains the message in plain words and points at the button it's talking about. if a message asks for money or passwords, stop and ask someone you trust.

why not just use chatgpt?

chat apps expect you to describe your screen in words, take a screenshot and follow written directions. that's the hard part for most people. with glowbug you just ask, and it points.

easy mode makes the buddy and the captions bigger and the voice slower. you can type instead of talking, or click the round button in the corner instead of holding keys.

setting it up for a parent? buy a gift and send the link. they install from it and it's ready, no account or card needed on their side. you can also save a walkthrough as a guide they can replay later.
