where gemini live is better
- live on your phone is excellent and free: point the camera or share your screen and just talk.
- gemini connects to gmail, drive and calendar, and does far more than screen help: research, images, video and more.
- it's open to younger users (13+); glowbug is for adults.
- polished native apps on android and iphone.
where glowbug is different
- it points: the answer lands on the exact button on your computer, with drawings, instead of being described.
- it's made for computers first: any app on windows, mac and linux, including old ones.
- after you click, it looks again and shows the next step.
- nothing from your screen or mic is stored.
which should you use?
for quick questions about what's on your phone or in front of your camera, gemini live is great. when you're at a computer and need to find the button, glowbug shows you where, and its phone version covers kiosks, tvs and paper too.
questions
can gemini live see my computer screen?
google documents live screen sharing on android and iphone, and live isn't available in the gemini web app. the mac app lets you share a window into a chat, and google says more desktop features are coming.
is gemini live free?
yes. google made live, with camera and screen sharing, free on android and iphone in may 2025.
does either one click for me?
glowbug never clicks or types. google's agent features can do tasks for you with a google ai subscription.
